Default Sneak Preview of Pen For Ready For John B Down Under

Hi John ;
In reference to this thread

A Gift From Australia

You had previously suggested that a pen made from walnut would be among your top choices. I made this one for you yesterday. It is a double twist Cigar pen with 24K gold hardware and 4 coats of WB lacquer.
It is a pretty piece of highly figured black walnut . I have shown a picture viewed from both sides.
I think you will agree that when it is in your hand and you turn it in the light from different angles you will find that my photography does not do it justice.
I will give it a few more days for the finish to properly cure and then I will take it across the border and mail it from my US post box because it will reach you much quicker from there.
W.Y.

Beautiful pen!
FYI - if you need to fill out a customs form - just write "pen" on it instead of "wood pen" I just found out I can't ship wood into a foreign country

You are quite welcome John .
Those cigar pens are one of my favorites to make because the diameter of them shows off the figure and /or grain pattern in the wood so much better than a thinner pen.
It is the pen of choice for most men . Ladies however prefer a thinner pen that fits their hand better.

That is some beautiful wood! The pen and finish are nicely done too.
