Scientists have been researching IQ's, as they have doubts about the old tests truly meaning anything at all. Lets face it, people can't all be judged in the same way. This was one of the new tests. Don't research it, just be honest..try it. Take an empty wine bottle and push the cork through the top into the bottom. Now get the cork out of the bottle. You have only these tools to work with. enough water to fill bottle full bag of sugar 18" square of cloth rag cloths hanger cork screw Can you get the cork out, or is it impossible...If you can, then how? If you are artistic, you have a big advantage in this puzzle, and if you are scientific minded you are at a disadvantage.

So, are you saying that us engineers should just forget this challenge?

Naaa, give it a try Andy. Test subject engineers had no success, but that's only a select few out of the many that there are. Breaking the bottle is not allowed.

Sure Todd, any bottle will work provided you have the proper size cork. The cork should fit tight in the neck, but not so tight you can't push it through into the bottle. As long as you can push it through, you can get it out.

Thanks Magpie. Yes, it's quite fun and a good party trick.
