Default Market Stall

G'day all,
I continually mention the "Boulder Markets" where I sell my timber manipulations on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Here are a few snaps of our stall.
Hopefully it will be undergoing a few radical alterations before the next Market comes around, as I have stolen some wonderful ideas from members on their stall layouts.

My Daughter also uses a bit of out stall area to sell her Sterling Silver and Gemstone jewellery that she makes.

Enjoy.

It looks like you sell a lot of nice stuff. I kind of miss doing shows sometimes. I used to do them years ago when I did leatherwork.

Thanks Chris,
I used to do leather work as well. I've still got all my tools an a couple of hides, I think, stashed somewhere.

I never sold any, except to friends and relatives. I really couldn't see how you could charge anywhere near a reasonable rate for the time put into a project. I enjoyed it immensely though.

John, I never made a whole lot off the shows, it was as much advertising. I built custom saddles and did a lot of tack and saddle repair work, I even made a hundred llama halters for a guy once. I used the shows and selling small items as much as anything, to advertise for the ways I really made money, although I'd sell a pretty good amount of belts and wallets, rifle cases, purses and such at the shows sometimes. But the shows were a lot of fun and I got to know a lot of nice people. I still have my tools and a few hides too.

I was gonna ask the same as Tom - were you in the sweetie shop?

This looks great, much more colourful than the average woodworker stall - me likes. As you know, I, too, am a firm believer in colouring things for kids and this obviously pays dividends for you? I do hope you reward your wife well for her efforts, too!

Nice displays John. What I liked is your ability to satisfy the impulse buyer. Want a train name? Sure, you have all the letters ready to go. Wow! That's what I call marketing! Create the need and have the ability to fill it. Savvy.
I bet you were the one taking the pictures weren't you?
