| chicken cage Ok, one of my 4H woodworking kids wants to build a wooden chicken carrying cage. I assume using dowels and standard dimensioned lumber, she wasnt real clear to me.I have seen cages like this in the past, but am turning up nothing tonight in my search for plans and even a bunch to look over to get a better understanding of the project. Anyone have any ideas, please point me in the right direction. This same kid also wants to scrollsaw a chicken, fairly simple either to be applied to the inside bottom of a handmade weaved basket, or fretcut out from a base for a basket she will be building,so any leads on that are appreciated as well.Starting next week, I will have one or two kids a night 6 days a week.. The fun is about to start! Dale |

Then for the chicken bottom make it plain or use that new woodburner and give it some detail. |

| You could drill the sides of the 1 X 2 and put dowels in between the two top rails on the top, then use the plywood just for the bottom. |

| The woodburner, ahhhhhhhhhh yes, I bet if I show her that tool, she would love to do that. I actually think that would look nicer than a fretted chicken on a basket bottom. Thank you again Rick. |
