.........I downloaded the butterfly (thanks), but how the heck do you put the pieces together? It looks like a real puzzle. Enjoy "working" with your wood.
No problem. Just see the picture i posted and you will find how i assembled it. Another butterfly in attached pic.

Khalid,
I was just thinking about this on my way to work today. Let me draw a comparison that makes sense to me (from my traditional woodworking background).
Let's look at dovetails. Dovetails, as joints, are attractive, especially if you are using contrasting wood. But are they artistic.
I feel that the layout and placement of the dovetails is the artistry. The cutting, whether you do it by hand or with a router (that's an argument for another day) is a skill.
How does that relate to your work?
The creation of the patterns, and the the decisions on how to lay out the patterns is artistic. Since you create your own patterns, that is where the artistry comes in. Programming the CNC and using the CNC is a skill--a trade so to speak.
Regardless, I love to see what you come up with...it's not exactly scrolling, but it is pushing the boundries of possibilities!
My dear Bob Duncan
First of all,Thank u very much for posting in my thread. I am feeling really proud of your this kind act.If someone have CAD capabilities, then its very easy to put your imagination on drawing board. When i was in school , i self learned the CAD.. I then draw the 3D model of my house that was start to built... At those time whenever i draw mechanical parts in AutoCad, i wished to see those in my hand...
When i saw CNC machine on internet, then i start thinking to build... It was not an easy task, especially for me having no money in hand and living in the world where technology very faaar from us...
But i read that contineous struggle for achiveing a goal do not goes in vain... I built the router... Me and my wife were very happy that day when the router comes alive... it was really very slow as snail..it z-axis was not working then, and i manually lift the router where cutting not required.... I wrote KELLYWARE on MDF sheet with it and it was written ERAWYLLEK...we were very happy that day....still thinking those days with smile onmy face...
Now the same machine is debottleneck and running as fast as medium range commercial router...My goal achived,Now whatever i can draw on CAD, i can feel in hand...
This is my small story..
Best Regards
KFK
