In my opinion you started looking to be a "woodworker" by looking, and building your CNC machine.

I was practicing machining of a Non rotating Guide vanes (NGV) of model jet engine. I developed the 3D model and then in a software i generated the cutter path for rough machining. You can see the blue lines with multiple passes. Then i did final finish maching, this was done after rough machining and u can see single pass of contour path of the cutter. One of the picture shows the simulated path after finish machining.
I run the code through the machine and finally got a pattern on wood.

It is amazing to see the cutter path how intricate it is... This complete tool path took 70000 lines of codes.

Pretty impressive machine you built!

You should poke around this forum:

as what you have appears to be a homemade ShopBot.

Quite a feat of engineering there Khalid. Now you need to work on making your vanes with variable pitch so you can control the speed (RPM) of your turbine. LOL!!!

wow Neal you know the turbine working principle....I just machined it on the wood for testing purpose..but for my real turbine i will machine it on Aluminium.. I do have electric and petrol engine planes, but now i am going to build Jet engine...and if you have any chance of watching model jet plane show, then u know how real the model plane look like to full scale jet aeroplanes.
By the way, i think u r involve somewhat in gas turbine business..LOL

And my work on WIND MILL in PROGRESS.... I have got Permanent magnet DC motor from Junk yard and when i turned the shaft by hand and short the wires i recieved good sparking...

I checked it on Lathe machine and at 450 RPM i got 14.7 Volts...i will check the amperage soon...Here is some progress... The blades (each length 32" ) are made out of 8" PVC pipe (U can get 4 out of 8" pipe) the hub is from MDF...

Initially, i just assemble the blades on MDF hub, i place i" stud bolt in the hub and came out of my home to check the efficiency of blades.... The blade start rotating in gentle breeze...suddenly i feel i was loosing control due to very high rotation of blades.. one of my finger injured and i fell down the rotor...One of my blade broke..thanks God i have a spare one... I will never do it again...

Yes Khalid I was once involved in the Gas Turbine field for about 10 years but mostly in the simulator aspect. I was a Site Manager for a couple large aerospace companies that performed Operation and Maintenance on Gas Turbine main propulsion simulators for the Navy. They were using the LM2500 turbine at the time as the main propulsion engine for Fast Frigates and other ships. We just kept things running so the Navy could train their gas turbine mechanics and electricians on simulators before introducing them to the "real deal".
