Angry Not a good time for cars

G'day all,
What with Carl's van getting knocked off, Tor having an accident and me being a bloody idiot cars have had a hiding lately.

Had to take the box of prezzies for the relatives who in live in Perth to the courier this morning.
Put it on the back of the ute while the wife opened the gates to the back yard.

Backing down the drive and crunch. No not the wife
I hadn't shut the drivers door properly and it swung open into the gate post

Had to do some emergency panel beating to get it closed

The door and front guard don't look to pretty but at least I can close and open it.

First job for the new year, visit some wreckers yards and see if I can get another door and guard.

Bugger, bugger bugger, I feel better now that that's of my chest

Things can always be worse John. At least you can close the door.
I drove a car for a few months, where the door wouldn't close. I used a bunji cord through the window and the sunroof.....had to drive slow around the corners because the door would swing open.

Sorry to hear about the problem but glad you banged it back.

I thought you were going to say you ran over the presents! That would have been tragic! Glad you and the presents, and your wife, are OK. Just remember that a door can be fixed or replaced.

Well if this is not funny, it is frustrating. I too have had a time of it today. first, I had to walk over to the neibors to give the gift i made them, at 4am. the dogs about eat me. and the kids was so peed off that I woke them up.. dad was in the shop. so I slumberd over there in the dark , cought him in his jammies. and all was well, hugs and happy hollidays was given. then went to my house. only to find the gate was closed and locked. 4.15am. the dogs was trying to eat me. and couldn't get the hubby to come. for we egnor shuch things. so I climed the 5 ft fence. only to find my new rottwhiler, greating me with her teeth. good girl I said. and then her licking me all over, jumping and pawing me. while I climed down to, the intter yard. whoooo. then bed. just to get up to a flat tire on my little datsun. fixed that. then , put some real cloths on. walked down to the shop. and opend the door. to find a paint can, in front of the propain burner. I BLEW it. He said , he was trying to warm it up. 5.15am. I talked in a soft voice. WHAT THE. etc. didn't go well. I thought isn't it noon somewhere. went to the stor to buy my best friend natural light. got out of my datsun. slamed the door. got my bear, then remmeberd, that I didn't have the key to the door. drats. whil changing the tire, I used the extra key to drive my datsun to the shope. not the door key. now I am locked out. well that took 2 hours, for they don't have cote hangers there. got her done. got home with my copper. and thought don't drink go talk to your friends.went on line. only to find a email. your hubby has a ticket. and now you have to pay. $29.00 on your inshurance for 6 months. he got it in his truck, not mine, but we are marriad. soooo. got in the house. he shows me all his wonders. the dog is eating the wood stove wood. peed on the floor, and we have a family gettogether to go to. and where have you been, did you give the neibore there gift? then proseeded to tell me of his day.whats for breakfast. do you have any saulsa. and my favorit. What are you mad about. didn't I let you sleep. Haaaa. go figuer.

Ugly mate. At least you didn't have it open just before the gate, and not be able to stop until you were through the gate. Does seem to be the third case of something manipulating a vehicle in an unwanted manner in the time I've been on the forum, or put differently, a real bad time for cars belonging to people on the forum. Hopefully we can end that here.

G'day Evie,
Don't you sleep sis!
I think after that little adventure of yours, I'd call it day and go back to bed until Christmas
I don't think I could handle all that excitement.

You are right though, you can laugh after the event LOL Don't let the bstds get you down

I guess my problem isn't so bad. I ordered a self-propelled vacuum cleaner for my mom last Sunday from Home Depot. Paid extra for 2nd day shipping. It was shipped on Tuesday according to an e-mail. Today's Thursday, the second day and no package. The e-mail had a tracking number, but no link to a courier, so I call Home Depot customer service about it. They don't know who has the package! I told them that the office at work closes at 4:30 p.m. and was assured that I would get the package today. I'm off Friday, (as a matter of fact I'm not supposed to go back to work until Jan.7, 2008), so I'm hoping that it gets delivered then. I did threaten the customer service with a phone call from my mom on Christmas day if she didn't get her present. I don't think it scared her but she doesn't know my mom! I sure hope I get it soon.

As for tracking numbers, UPS starts with 1Z (US domestic packages), and USPS (highly unlikely where you are) starts with 9101. Don't know about other carriers though.

I came out of the doctor's to find my front bumper lying on the ground in front of my car--looks like somebody just caught the edge of it and peeled it right off as they pulled out. My son says now we are gonna see just how good that Gorilla glue really is
