Default my kudos to dremel

i wanted to let all know that in the 4 years i have been using dremel scroll saws there has been no one company i have ran into that stands by the product like dremel. i have a dremel 1800 and a dremel 1830 and love both of them, a couple weeks ago i broke the lower blade clamp on my 1830, not sure how but a quick email to dremel and 8 days later i had my replacement part in hand, no questions asked. if every scroll manufactor would take lessons from dremel there would be a lot less frustration in having our tools repaired. i base this strickly on my issues with anouther scroll saw company that fights you everytime you need repairs or have problems, either the warrenty has expired or there is no way the saw can have the problems you describe, or the repair cost more than a new saw, or the parts are no longer available, even though the saw has not changed in 4 years or more. it is extremely frustrating to have to fight to have your tools fixed. i am a devoted dremel customer and i hope one day they will actually put out a 21 or even 30 inch saw, i would definately buy one.

I would second that high opinion of Dremel. We bought two small router bits for our mini-Dremel tool. When we got them home, we realised that one was not the contour it had on the packet, although the packet was sealed. I rang them and asked what to do - they asked for my address, sent a replacement and did not want the other back. This all happened quickly and without any question. Customer service, anywhere is generally not like that!!!!
