Default other than, woodwork. ornament

Hi guys, just wonted to shar a diferrant type oranment. these are made with folded ribbon pieces. I have been trying to figure a way to do this in wood. but need some help on it. how can i cut a v shape piece of wood. then hollow the inside out to do this.without sanding my hart out. do you think i could compound cut it someway. I think then I can glue the shingales, I guess you would call them onto a egg shape. so they would have to curv somewhat. this is one I made for a friend. thanks your friend Evie

I love this ornament. How do you make it, if you don't mind me asking. If it's a deep family secret I understand. Chris is right one...you are one talented lady!

Diana Thompson has a pattern for a poinsettia and vase in her book "Compound Christmas Ornaments" that might work for you. She explains how to make the petals of the poinsettia that with some modifications might work for you.

G'day Evie,
Those are real beauties. You have many hidden talents, well not so hidden now

I don't know where you find the time, with tearing around the paddocks on your quad, scrolling, looking after a couple dogs. Your days sure must be full.

Your good mate
John
