Default First "real" craft fair in the books

I just completed my first "real" craft fair. Yes I have done a few church fairs and one mixed street fair but this was my first real craft fair. It was a 3 day event which was sponsored by the NC dept of Agriculture and held at the NC state farmer market. The farmers market is all open air. Things could have been better. It was 10 degrees colder then normal, windy and the biggest football game of the year (NC State vs UNC) was being held 5 miles down the road. My team won. We setup in 30 degree weather and our highs only hit the mid 50's. Needless to say attendence and sales were well below expected by organizers and most vendors.

On a positive note, I made more then double my booth fee, met a lot of wonderful people, was invited to another two events that I never knew about, and have several potential orders for custom work. But the most important thing is I had fun. I highly recommend it.

Scott
Glad you had a good time and made some money. Shows are fun aren't they?
Now that you started you won't be able to stop! Congrats on a good show.

I do flea markets outdoors in the winter in the snow. I know the feeling of cold. Glad that it worked out good and with other potential shows you will surely get something going.

Glad you did well enough. And, of course had fun. What would life be without fun? Not a world I would like to live in, at least.

It's nice to hear you made your booth fee and some profit out of it . but haveing fun has to be even better .(I don't do shows) I belive if I did and made my cost for it I would be happy as long as it was fun and not BOring. But if I did make a little would even make it better
