| Craft Show Tables Hi Y'all, for anyone needing tables for craft shows or what ever. The owners of my local Ace Hardware told me that next month Ace will have the 72" x 30" folding tables on sale for $39.99 each. They are a resin top w/folding legs and then the table folds in the middle. The tables may be the Cosco brand. They are light weight and easy to handle. I thought that I would pass this info along as this is the cheapest that I have found for tables. Steve |

| Steve:
I don't know if you know about the following site: http://www.craftlister.com/
Louis, the man who runs this site just for crafters and artisans has lots and lots of advise on craft tables, and so forth. This advise is from people in the trenches of craft fairs. It may be too late for you right now, but still a good place to learn about the evil of the imported re-seller, the CNC mass producers and so on at so many craft shows that are feeding the Wal-Mart mentality out there.
You don't need to pay to review most of the site. If you don't pay to join the site, you don't get a full year advance notice of local craft showes.

| Hi Phil, I am not sure if I was navigating the site correctly or not but I could not find anything on tables. I thought that the tables at ACE was a decent buy and it is the best price that I have found for display tables so far. This past year I had to borrow tables that were made from wood and they were so heavy and bulky. Had to go pick them up and take them back. It was just a hassle so I am trying to get prepared for next years list of shows that I would like to participate in. Any info on display tables and where to buy would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve |

| Sorry steve:
The point was to ask your questions there...
Not to buy your tables there. Some people like horseshoe table setup, and they have a links and reviews of craft show suppliers at the link I posted before.
There use to be a forum at craftlisters, maybe it got shut down.
As for suggestions on tables, the lighter the weight, the higher the price.
Let me look around some more. |

| I have seen the folding leg portions of tables for sale (Harbor Freight I think) for a pretty reasonable price. Just attach it to a piece of 3/4 plywood and you have an instant table. You could even cut it in half and put on hinges to fold it for easier transporting. I may be ugly to look at, but it's inexpensive and will most likely be covered anyways so who cares? Just my 2¢ worth.

| G'day Jim,
I have used those legs on my tables. I framed the top out of 42mm x 19mm pine with a 3mm ply skin. Makes the tables light and easy to handle. |

| Whatever the table you get and use - here's a tip for you:
Get some PVC pipe a little larger than the diameter of your table legs and cut it to the length of your table leg plus about 3 to 4 inches. The idea is to put the table leg inside the PVC pipe and it will raise your table by the extra 3 to 4 inches. This brings the table up to where it is easier for people to see what is sitting on it.
