Default The Fire Caif.

Hi guys, I had to take this picture today. I am in no danger, but this is just 2 blocks from my house. the fire is about 15 - 20 miles away from me, but one of are grandauters and family was evacuated out of Penalton Marine base, down in sandiago. about a hour from here. the fires are pretty bad, but I am safe for now. just thought I would show you a picture. your friend Evie

Evie, It's good to know the fire is not threatening you. The news today said the firefighters are getting it under control, and that's good to hear. The news is also saying it was arson, well I hope they catch the sob and fry them in hell. The thought of arson is uncomprehensible, that someone could actually get their kicks from this.
Please keep safe Evie,
Your Friend
Marsha

Gee, Marsha, don't hold back tell us how you really feel. Actually, I agree with you 100%. Evie, I'm glad your family is safe. Prayers for everyone.

That's pretty much what it has looked like south of me for the past week. I live in Riverside County but work in San Diego. I made it in to work monday morning for an hour before I left to help my mom out. My mom, two aunts and an uncle all left their homes voluntarily for a couple days as the fires got close. I eventually made it home after several detours and side roads just to find out that the entire stretch of I-15 into San Diego was closed and I wasn't going to work tuesday. Yesterday morning (wednesday) I had to go in to work and I could still see the glowing skies from the fires around me. Today on my way home the skies were starting to clear up and most of the fires are just about controlled. A lot of homes were lost, many acres of land destroyed, and a lot of people were displaced for days at a time. The only good news of late is they are letting a lot of people going home today.

After the fires in 2003 the city, state, and country has learned a lot about how to handle fires like this. The residents of San Diego county have been getting a lot of much needed help and from what I am hearing on the radio they are all very grateful. San Diego is a big city with a big heart. It's really nice to see so many people come together and help each other out like this. Keep them in your hearts and prayers.

I jump up, thinking the kids in the neibor hood was scrueing with me again. and it was only the smoke. Jim your down the hill, you must be getting alot of smoke. my neice called today. and said one of her friends was burned out, and had to move in with them. wow. what a loss. they just bought 2 new cars. and couldn't get them out. They lost every thing. I did offer my ranch to keep the critters in. they raise hunting dogs. Dang I wish I could help out more. I was so bent at the schoole kids trowing rocks at my horses. and was hell bent. untill my neice called. guess I am lucky. I am in Ontario. Our fire was small compared to the San Diego, Irvine and the Canyon Country fires.
I'm glad the loss of life is relatively low.
Stay dafe!

Hay Doc, your only 35 minutes away, but down the hill. gosh you must be blind with the smoke, all the schools let out up here on the high desert. ??? don't know why. the smoke is not that bad. anyway, howdy neibor.
seems like someone keeps trying to burn are state down, and are forest. drats, are mountains, and hills was just starting to come back from all the other fires. I think it is just to bad, that someone, in are country, keeps scruing up things, when we have enouph problems elswere. torks my jaws. anyway. hope you all stay safe.
