| craft show This past saturday I done another craft show, at least it was decent by that I did over $200 which wasn't bad considering it was a small show with 17 vendors, and I was the only woodcrafter there.I sold some sport plaques, a couple of portraits, few christmas ornaments. totaling around 19 pieces which I didn't think was bad, considering the last show I made just enough to pay for a $20.00 table. So just like the people say here, don't get discourage things got to get better. Now it is getting closer to the Holidays and a few more shows coming up.And anybody else who is doing a show [good luck]edward |

| That's great!
I did one on Saturday and sold $58.00. That's $33.00 above the $25.00 table fee. Lots of people looking, and lots asking where I was going to be next. You'd be surprised how many people said they didn't bring enough money, but they weren't carrying bags either.

| Well at least I know pretty much how things may go, thanks for the
info, my very first show is this weekend and I am gathering my stuff this week
getting ready. I only had a 10.00 fee so won't be too bad if I don't
sell anything, but really hoping to as the shop is getting full of things
that are just sitting on shelves. Glad to hear you did well edward, gives me something to hope for! Last I knew there are over 40 vendors and I was the only scroller....

| G'day Edward,
It will get better, especially as people get to know you and come looking for your produce.
When I first started at the markets about 6 years ago, I was happy just to cover the stall costs and make a few bob for more timber and a couple pkts of smokes. At that time I made all toys although I used the scroll saw to make a lot of them.
As my stock of toys grew I started making items for adults as well, so that I'd capture all age groups. Perhaps that is something you could think about, making a few small things for kids.
The Spring festival was a bonanza with over $2000.00 taken, a lot of that was from regulars that hunt me up every Christmas to buy gifts.
Good luck and keep on keeping on |

| If you're doing any more shows this year, have a schedule made up, put on your table and write 10% off or something on it and tell them if they bring it to one of the other shows, you'll give them the discount. Also tell them you are working on new items for the next one. And if the group who is sponsoring the show asks for a donation for them to give away, give them one along with your card. Alot of the places I go to have them come to the table to collect it that way they see other items & usually buy something else. Be nice, smile, be friendly. You'll do fine. There was only guy recently I wanted to hit alongside his head with a 2 x 4 for a comment he made but other than that no blood has been shed. ![013[1]23](http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/images/smilies/013[1]23.gif) Let us know how you make out!
Betty
