Default Some more turnings.....

The scrollsaws do work, honest

Spent the last few days making chips and heres the results.

These unfinished bowls are Russian olive (5"), elm (7"), and walnut (9"). Finish to be applied later

Today I chucked up a big piece of Arkansas ash.....

shaped the outside.....

got sprayed by a few bugs while doing the inside

and ended up with this......

13 1/2 long, about 10 wide and 6 tall.......1/4" thick....except for an oops at the bottom. Thanks for looking.

Beary those are FAAANTASTIC. do you worry about the bugs that come out of it. looks like bores. or are they not a worry at all, untill they are adults.?? the turnings are just great.

No....taste more like spotted owl

Almost ALL the bugs exited the bowl while it was turning 800 rpms or so........can you say "SPLAT!"

Those are really looking good! I love the bark edges! You guys are gonna' convince me to get a lathe yet.
