Default Mom on way home

Well, my brother & mother get here tomorrow at 1:45 from St. Paul. She'll be staying with me for a while and then we'll decide. I'm afraid she's going to go into an assisted living arrangment. I have already checked out one & it's about 2 miles from where she lives now. My brother is going to check it with me on Thursday before I take him home. Maybe by Friday my life can return to some sort of normal. Thank all of you for your prayers. They really do help.

Betty

Thanks everyone. Now the real work begins for getting her better. The Assisted living place we are seriously considering is less than 10 years old. I have dropped in several times unannounced & announced and it is a fantastic place. There are only 16 "guest" rooms in the assisted living area & 16 in the Alzheimers area. It is very small, extremely clean & they have a "chef" not a cook. It is really a large home with 16 bedrooms & baths. It is 2 miles from where my mother grew up & lives now, so it is in a familiar location to her. Her primary doctor even makes house calls to this home. I have met people leaving & questioned them & everyone says it is truly as close to home as you can get. It is spotless & smells fresh & clean when you walk in. This place should really be a model for other homes! Now, to squeeze in some woodworking between everything!!

Betty

How about $100,000.00 for the hospital bill, Dale?

G'day Betty,
The details are in between the lines.
I think Dale said "ANYTHING" not EVERYTHING

Keep on keeping on

That sure would mean a lot that her primary docter makes house calls. I am glad to hear that she is doing better and hope that this living arrangement works well for the whole family. Steve
