It was love at first sight. He is black...well mostly, and smothers me with kisses at every opportunity. He adores me! and I him. I already have three but I wanted another. His name is Rogan, a 5 week old Doberman pup - all legs and paws and puppy breath and already has that stately pose with the hind legs out and the head stuck out proud, like an Arabian stallion.

Yes, I am exhausted after two nights of hourly 'walkies' and very little - and the darling expecting the reward for using the newspaper to include a playtime session But just one look at that face and I know it is worth every inconvenience and effort!

It's not the best photo but he is such a rocket of energy during 'awake times' that I can only manage to take a snap when he is passed out.
