Default Wood storage

Hello Scrollers
Just thought I would share a wood storage solution for some of you if you have little space as I do. When our kitchen range hit the dust a few years ago...and before the trash man picked it up, I took out the wire racks in the oven, and hung them up in the shop to store some lumber. Works great.
I have since found other ranges by the side of the road ready for the trash man, so I removed those racks, and now have a few more sets to use.

Wood Dog. thats pretty cool. for me though. My wood would not all fit in there. also. In my area. my woold would warp like heck. I live in the high deasert. and dry dry. my woold would warp in the middale, and cup, and curl like crazy. for me, I stand mine up. but then that a whole new conversation. I have lots of wood. and its waited with the other wood on top or in front. wood is so tempermentale. dependeing on you area. stickering it like you have there. is the one I have seen in most places. but I think I would put more support, undder the middale. Great ideal W D, I have to start looking around for old ovens. I think Evie maybe on to something, that I would add more support to the middle.

Cool idea. Do you have any suggestions on how far apart they need to be, or is it just dependent on the length of wood needed for storage. Also, what method did you use to mount the racks to the wall?

Thanks

I was wondering, who you was asking this too. if me. I use some pipes bolted into the wall with some , dang don't know what to call them, they are a round fixture, with a female dreaded hole in the middale. to hold a mail treaded pipe. at your desired leangth.then, seperated buy the width of you wood. and standing probley the hidth of you cealing. also. a plywood area. as wide as 4 feet. I will try to get you some pictures, ok. the probleam with this methad is you have to search behind the front wood. but then you have to pick wood up on a layerd system too. you can also make some 2x4 shelf like brackets. sticking out of the wall. to slide your wood into..they look like shelfs, brakets, without the shelf.(mine stick out about 2to 3 '. for a exsampale. like at a hardware store. or louse, home depot, etc, when you buy base or other planks of wood.you can also just buy shelf brakets. and the hardware. they are not deep enouph for me. but that works. put them up at least 5' or for me 6',thats , above my head.hope this makes sence to you. your friend Evie
