Default Fish Pond

Wheww!
I am on vacation this week and had to put in a new liner in my fish pond,
can I tell you it is alot of work ! The pond is 7X7X2. Although it can be alot of work sometimes to maintain , the enjoyment you get kinda evens things out. Here are some pictures of before and after, if you have a pond and have to do this just watch your fish! The big yellow Koi did a jump out of the pond thing on me and I don't know how long he was out but he seems to be doing ok,

Shirley, just a little advice. In picture #2, if you move the chair a little closer, you will have better luck casting, without getting the hook tangled in the trees!!! Pond looks very nice, but wheres the red ear slider? Dale

I love it. Wish the weather was better here for a pond with koi in it. A lot of work but nice to sit and admire it.

Dale, I got a little chuckle out of your little fishing comment, but as you can see not much for trees left since I got rid of the pond palms. I will keep going to our local lakes and catch the trout and catfish and leave my "pets" in the pond. And yes Diane, it is very relaxing just to sit out in the morning and have coffee and watch the fish, inthe winter (which out here it dosen't get too cold most of the time) I have a chimnea to have a nice little fire to keep me warm! Next is the waterfall, I will be adding that very soon , if anyone has any suggestions about making one let me know, I and planning on using 3 3'x3' pieces of flagstone which the water will flow over.

It is beautiful Shirley, I love it. My daughter has a pond with a waterfall in her back yard and it is so nice. I think you will love adding one. She bought a ready made waterfall setup and covered it with pieces of flagstone. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Your pond looks very nice Shirley . I really like those flat stones you have.
I recently got into ponding with a dry pond that I re-started for my two sister in laws that are moving out west here next week from way out east to stay.
I knew nothing whatsoever about ponding so I started a discussion on my WWF site over a week ago and it has run into several pages of excellent suggestions for me.
This pond does have a waterfall in the back right corner .
I have finally got the water to what some call "polished" clear. And just in time because I am picking my sister in law's up at the airport on Monday.
