| You're more likely to see me on the news being held in custody by a beefeater!
I subscribe to the notion that the only man ever to enter Parliament with honest intentions was Guy Fawkes. Bet that's got some folks busy googling .

| I wont google that name, Ill just sit here and patiently wait for someone else to look it up and teach me! Much like Jeff, with his one intarsia piece, teaching me who (I think) Beckensail is. Dale |

| Rolf's referring to the appointment of the first female beefeater at the Tower of London. There's a news video about it here.
Guy Fawkes laid gunpowder in the cellars of Parliament back in 1605 but was interrupted by guards before he could set the fuses. He and his fellow conspirators were executed horribly, although not by burning. Yet every year on November 5 the event is commemorated throughout England by the burning of an effigy known as a 'Guy' at a bonfire and fireworks celebration.

| Ok, so ifI understood the video right, it has nothing to with a triple quarter pounder with cheese, or a triple whopper with bacon. It has NOTHING to with a huge T-bone rare? Worst thing, shes probably a vegetarian on top of it all!!!
and as for Guy Falkes.........so when you refer to me as 'that guy', does that mean your wishing to roast marshmellows over my engulfed body????????? Gill, thank you for the history lesson. Dale (some guy) |
