Default Anyone in the Connecticut Area this month?

Hi All,
If anyone will be in the Monroe, CT area this weekend, there's a large fair being held on the green called the Apple Festival. I'll be set-up there with about 100 or so other crafters. It's Saturday and Sunday. Also, on the 23rd is a biggun', the Pumpkin Festival in Seymour, CT at French Memorial Park. This one attracts about 30,000 people in one day. It's a good time to be had as well. There's about 175 crafters at this one.
Anyhow, if any of you are in the area for either of these, look for me, it'd be a treat to meet a few fellow woodworkers.

Good luck with your show Kevin. I hope your sales are good.
I have been to several fairs lately and have not seen any scrollers.?
Several wood turners but no scrollers.
I will try to make the one in Seymore, It is only about 17 miles from the Brigeport Ferry

It would be neat to meet a fellow scroller Rolf. I know a few other scrollers in the area that do shows, once in a while we're in the same ones but as a rule, I very seldom see other scrollers in shows.

Seymour must have come a long way since I lived there. I didn't think 30,000 people knew where it was!! Good luck at the shows. I have a big 4 day Oktoberfest coming up in a week. it's supposedly about the biggest one in the states- at least on this side of the country. It's usually a lot of fun but i'm ready to shoot that loudspeaker after 13 renditions of the Chicken Dance!!!

Thanks a lot Janette! Now I have that stuck in my head, sheesh!
I'm sure the Pumpkin Festival must've been going on when you lived here. It's in it's 42nd year. Definately one of the better fairs in the area. There's one in NYC but I am by no stretch of the imagination even remotely ready to try something like that. The booth fee is about $1500 and there's something like 3 million people in 3 days. Someday maybe.

Here's a couple of pics from last week's show. The good news is that it was one of my best yet (over $2300 in sales). The bad news is that I'm scrambling for next week's show (which is about 10 times the size) as I sold out of so many different pieces.
I just came upstairs to take a break (and give my back a break from sitting in from of the saw) and figured I'd check in.

Nice set-up Kevin, and good luck with your next show. As for me I don't like to work that hard.
