Default Gotta Love Free Wood

I went to my US post box today and got a very nice surprise.
A person that is a very good scroll sawyer as well a a comparatively new turner had sent me a nice big box of wood that was almost all exotics. It was all nicely labeled as to species.
It contains cocobola , ebony , wenge , bocote , purple heart , mahogany , zebra wood , grenadilla (african black wood) rosewood and walnut.
I will have a ball turning pens and bottle stoppers and all kinds of neat things from this wood.
The friend that sent this wood to me asked not to be identified and I will keep my word on that.
Ever since I got into turning , packages of free wood have been sent to me quite often as well as people locally phoning me and asking me if I can pick up some wood that they no longer have use for.
It is nice that there are so many kind turners that like to share wood like this with fellow turners when they have an abundance of it.
I return the turning wood favors quite often myself and just today sent a package of wood to a turner way down in USA . It was some that I had extra of and just thought it would be nice to share some.
Turners rock ! ! !

Excellent score W.Y.!!!

Some of, no make that THE, nicest folks I know are woodworkers. Granted, there are the pompous few just like anywhere else, but most are willing to share in their bounty and expertise! Good on you for passing it forward as well.

Nice Wood. Gifts are always nice, especially when it is given for the purpose of giving a gift.

"No reason" is always the best reason.
