Default A Milestone Is Passed

I just wanted to share a milestone with my new scroll saw friends. On August 17th my still beautiful bride and this old geezer celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We had a month-long open house with visiting family and friends along with our local friends. It resulted in a series of afternoon and evening party's that seemed to run together for about three weeks. The barbeque grill was running contantly and the buffet table was continually full. So far, the month has been a blur of family, good friends, good food and dancing on the patio to the good old 50's music!!!! It's been a great 50 years for me and my wife says a couple of them were good for her too.

Whew! 50 years is an accomplishment worthy of the Bragging section...not the Off Topic section.

Congrats, folks like you give those of us well short of their 50th something to shoot for down the road.

Yes, congratulations Bob!!! I think I know what the secret is. It appears in your second sentence... "On August 17th my still beautiful bride and this old geezer celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary." After 50 years Bob still says sweet things about his spouse!! I bet she feels the same!! Happy 50th anniversary!!

Congratulations. That is quite a milestone. If I'd have known it would have been a month long party, it may have been worth the drive. But then, I didn't get an invitation.

What a fantastic achievement. It's too monumental for any of my words.
