Back from vacation - Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Message Board

All in all it was a wonderful week at the ocean. No phone, no computer, no nothing but sun & surf. And husband, daughter, son, son-in-law & grandson. And, yes, if you drop your cell phone in the toilet (or any water) and put it in the fridge with a gel pack (some sort of drying agent) in a plastic bag, it really does dry out & work. But of course, I left my charger home so the battery went dead & still no phone (oh darn!)

And I finally took out my camera & got some awesome pictures of "beach dudes" skimming! And of course, the highlight was having my precious grandson for a whole week! I miss him already. So that was my week in a nutshell. Last I heard we were "looking for" Ian. Did we ever find him?

Glad to hear that your vacation was nice and that your phone is working. You got more time with your grandson without that phone.

Glad you had a great vacation! It's a real bummer when something spoils it (I'm sure we all have stories - I sure have mine). In two weeks I'll be off for a three-week vacation to Alaska (cruise) and Vancouver / Seattle. Since I won't be taking my scroll saw <G> maybe I can catch up on reading.
