Default First Pocket Watch Attempt

Decided to go out to my shop this afternoon and try my luck at making turned pocket watch's .
Lots of fun to make . One is a commission job from my last craft sale where a fella wanted me to make him one and he gave me his business card to call him when I get it done for him.
Now I will call him (in Alberta ) and get his email address so I can send him pictures and let him decide which one he wants.
He gets first choice but he did mention black walnut so he might take that one..

Left to right is Honduras Mahogany, Teak , and Black Walnut.

I learned quite a bit making these as with any new project and now that I have got the hang of it they are quite easy to make.

William,
Those are beautiful masterpieces! Any suggestions on where to buy the parts, the chain and clock movement, to make these.

You did an excellent job!

John;
Here is where you can get the clock inserts however I had some in stock from another supplier.

For the clock inserts order by phone and make sure they have glass lens and steel back and clips to mount them and NOT a rubber gasket like in the ecconomy useless ones.

I got my chains and couplers from the same place but of course I used my own wood and didn't order their wood ring.
