Unhappy What a totally rotten day...

We found out today, not to our surprise though, that our beloved dog, Lady Jane, has to be put down tomorrow morning. My son is totally torn up by it and I'm not doing too good myself. On top of it, we are leaving for vacation tomorrow morning and to look at everything around the house you'd never know it. And the topper? My cell phone fell in the toilet. I fished it out right away (clean water) & my son-in-law told me to get a silica gel pack, plastic bag, put the phone the bag with the gel & put it in my refrigerator! So that's where my cell phone sits - in the fridge in a plastic bag with silica gel. I'll let you know if it works or not! SEE YOU IN A WEEK!!

Betty

Hi Betty.
What a bummer of a day. Sorry to hear that.
If it isn't too late, I have another suggestion for the cell phone.
If it was mine, what I would be doing is taking the back off it and using a hair dryer om mediun heat and blowing it all out from both inside and outside.

Works on coffee spilled into a keyboard DAMHIKT (Dont Ask Me How I Know That)

Have a great holiday.

Someone who works with my husband had a leak in his cooler and guess where his cell phone was !!! It didn't work the first day, half worked the second day and is now fine. Give it a chance to fully dry and it should be fine.
I know how you feel about your dog because mine has to be put down this year and soon. I keep delaying it but it will have to be before the winter.

Hi Betty,
Sorry to hear about your dog, I was a vet tech for 13 years and had to go thru putting a beloved pet down many times and it is never easy, especially with your own, and it is even harder when we have to decide for our pets what it best for them, but it is what is best for them and you are doing the right thing. Take care and have a good vacation..

Betty,
Having to make the decision to put down a family pet is about as hard as it gets. My sympathies.

Sorry to hear the news about Lady Jane.......take comfort in all the good years you've had with her. It is one sad things to go through, but you will make it, as each day gets easier to bear.
Would love to see a photo of her when you get back to a "normal" day.
Best wishes
WD

I'm with you totally about Lady. We had to put Schafer, our Shepard, down many years ago. Soon after that we got (rescued) Gus, our full English Mastiff, and eventually after many years had to put him down too.

It is a sad time and I feel for you.
