| The Deathly Hallows Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will go on sale locally at midnight tonight. It's publication will be followed by a rare event known as Gill Edwards and the Deathly Silence, as one adult who should know better immerses herself into a book that's written for children.
If I'm not around much over the next couple of days, it's not because I'm ignoring anyone - I'm just indulging myself .

| No worries, Gill, I will be right there (or here on this side of the pond) with you. I can't wait. And I still do not believe that Harry will killed off.

| I've got my own theory about what happens, all of which is completely speculative. I've had it in my mind for sometime that the mysterious "RAB" is Regulus Black, Sirius' supposedly dead brother. Now, what if Severus Snape was supposed to have killed Regulus on Voldemort's orders - but hadn't?
Oh, I've been speculating about the plot in my own mind ever since The Half-Blood Prince was published! I hope we get more of an insight into Mrs Dursley's involvement and find out where James and Lily Potter got all the gold stashed away in Gringott's. I suspect there will be a major death, but I can't see it being Harry. I reckon Hagrid's the most likely candidate.
Ooooohhhh...... I'm getting all excited now !

| I agree with your theory, Gill, about RAB...and in the Order of Phoenix, when they were cleaning the Black house out, they found an amulet that no one could open...Hmmm...
But...who helped him get across the lake and drink all of the liquid to get the Horcrux? That's another mystery! Even Dumbledore couldn't do it himself!

| I think you're right there, Bob. Wasn't it something Kreacher tried to hide away? I reckon it's almost certainly a horcrux.
I'm wondering why Regulus would replace the liquid that protected the horcrux in the cave. Perhaps he found a way to get to the horcrux which Harry and Dumbledore hadn't considered, a way which didn't require him to have a companion. And perhaps Regulus has found more horcruxes...
We'll soon know .

| I know JK Rowling has indicated she didn't want anyone else to be able to continue the series after the last book so the only death that would prevent the continuation of the series would be Harry's. My guess is Harry and Voldemort are the 2 main characters that bite the dust as this is the only thing that would effectively prevent anyone from picking up the series down the road. I'll have to read the last 5 pages when it comes out to see if this is the case. I'm not interested enough to read all 700+ pages to find out, hehehe.

| I wont be up at midnight but I am really looking forward to reading it.
It is fun to think of how we could each wrap up the adventures.
There are so many ways we could go.
What if Dumbledore and Snape were working together undercover and Dumbledore wasn't really dead. Nawwww
