Default I made it!!!

Pulled into the new town Saturday night. The fully, some say over, loaded Super Duty with the van in tow made it almost 3,300 miles in 6 days. I saw some amazing sights, stayed at a few interesting places and cannot believe how much you Canucks have to pay for gas, food, lodging, etc! I stopped to gas up 24 times and will post prices if anyone is truly interested. The cheapest was Anchorage at $2.999/gallon and the most expensive was Muncho Lake at $1.499/litre.

I just got phone service hooked up today and am off to pick the wife and youngest up at the airport. I'll post a few pictures when I get time...and it looks like I have a bunch of reading to catch up on, not to mention some fantastic projects to comment on.

Thumbs up

Glad to hear you had a safe trip, Barry. Just out of curiosity, did you keep track of how much money was spent on gas for the trip? I always thought that would be a fun and interesting drive. I had guessed about 3500 miles driving thru the Canadian Rockies. I doubt it'll ever happen for me. I'll be anxiously awaiting some photos. Let us know when the shop is set up.

Glad you made it down to the states in one piece buddy...still sorry you had another location calling you to retire in. None the less you know where myself and the rest of the Valley Trash (your brother is proud Valley Trash if I remember right?) reside if you ever get back home be sure to let me know.

Not for nothing but a fella by the last name of Boersma and I chatted a bit about you two weeks ago, he's a ADF&G biologist in the Kenai area. You left alot of folks with some good thoughts about your character.
