Default What is going on...

I've been away for a week and all the changes!! First of all, I notice there's carving mixed in with scrollsaw? I don't mind, but did they combine the boards or something? Barry's leaving Alaska for Texas or Minnesota, depends on who answers, got a letter from Steve about his problems, and oh, did I mention: BABY SHOULD BE HERE BY END OF WEEK!!!! Can't wait to hold my sweet grandson!! So what else did I miss? Fill me in!! I know I missed something else. My computer died, thought it was the screen but it was the video board, and since it is still under warranty there's no charge to get it fixed, but my dear sweek son-in-law lent me one of his laptops. Ever type on a laptop after you're used to a regular keyboard? AIN'T EASY! That's why I haven'gt been typing much. So everyone, please fill me in!!

Betty

Hi Betty. Yes, it struck me as odd having the carving combined with the scrolling, I'm not sure if thats a permanent thing or not. I kind of prefer them as seperate boards, but I can live with it either way. Barry , he has been planning this move since before he joined this board. He retired recently, and is planning on moving closer to reality, instead of staying in the peaceful, tranquil Alaskan hills.Poor guy though, of all places to pick, he chose Minnesota (shakes head).
I bet your really anxious for that baby huh? And, Im sure you will spoil him good.Whatever happened to your computer isnt good. the worst thing, I think your computer infected Charlie's (the duck man), because now he is vanishing for a while.I havent been scrolling much, except for a quick scrolled puzzle just for the fun of it, which I should post a picture of just for kicks.
My biggest struggle right now is locating a simple quart of Bartley gel varnish! I havent found anyone in my half of the state that sells the stuff, and that includes a Rockler and a Woodcraft. I could order it online, but would rather not. My cherry/ cedar chest is actually starting to look decent, I need to 220 it, then its ready to start gluing the intarsia pieces to the front of it, and then since I cant Bartleys, I will be finishing it with General Finishes Armor Seal. Oh , and then install the cedar inside it and slap on a hinge! The 4H kids are in full swing here, so my own woodworking time is stretched pretty thin.
Other than that, you havent missed to much. Welcome back! Dale

Lol, and you should be able to hook your old keyboard and monitor up to the laptop and use them just like you would a desktop...it would help if it was a usb keyboard though.

Ok, Mark, you must be new in here or else you wouldknow that computer friendly I'm NOT! Took me months to figure out how to post a picture. Hook my keyboard up to the laptop? Don't think so!! And why anyone would want to leave Alaska is beyond me. I would love to visit there but I'm afraid I wouldn't return!! And I think I really need to check out Joann Fabrics. Haven't been there in a while, I'm sure there's something I just NEED!! I can't believe I'm going to miss meeting Sue & Toni in Lebanon this week! Would love to attend but can't go too far waiting for Christopher Benjamin to make his appearance!! I just love that name!! And Jeff is going to be there? Hate to ask this, but did that copyright mess ever get straight? Haven't heard anything about it lately, not that I'm looking for it. Oh well, maybe next time. Hope I didn't confuse anyone, but I answered several at once!!

I'm not going all the way to Lebanon. Especially with all the fighting that's going on over there. I did get my paperwork for Richland center Wisconsin. It's nice and safe there and I have tons of hotel points to save me big bucks. I think MD is maryland? That's way too far for you to go to wisconsin if it is, so oh well.

GOT MY COMPUTER BACK!!! Course I messed it up trying to get it started, lost the use of the mouse or something, and my son-in-law had to come straighten me out. Took him all of 1 minute. Sure glad I can operate my saws better than this computer!!
