Default Police Academy Graduation

After 6 months of intense training, my step son was the youngest of 66 graduates of the 136th Alameda County Sheriff’s Academy. This was the largest and highest ranked graduating class in the history of the academy.
Chris ranked in the top 10 out of his class.

We were up at 4:00am to watch the traditional run of the graduating class, then we were off to the graduation ceremony. After the ceremony, there was a bbq lunch and a tour the Training Center where I was treated to a wild ride on the EVOC track. Later on that afternoon we had a little family party at Chevy's where I was able to give him his graduation present...

Chris will start at Hayward PD on Monday morning.

Obviously, we are very proud of him.

Chris is the first one on the left as they are coming down the stairs.
they made a mistake when they said there was 136 graduates, the 136 was the class number and that there was only 66 graduates...

reporters, they need to get the story straight...

Congrats Dad! You can be very proud. Just one question... are you standing in a hole or is he standing on a box? I don't know what we're feeding these youngsters today but it does seem to make them t-a-l-l-e-r! My two were doomed to be under 6' but taller than my wife who's 5'2". I'll soon be down to her height if this shrinking thing keeps going...

Congratulations to you and your son! You must be proud of him - and for good reason!

Last summer my son (then 16) went to a one week State police acadamy here in Michigan. We saw a video of some of what they went through - I wouldn't have lasted a day let alone a week.
