Easter is a special time for my wife and I. We celebrate Easter going to church, then joining with our family for a dinner. We had 'easter egg hunts' when the children...ours, nieces and nephews were small, but now even their children are too old for that. My wife misses hiding the eggs for the children, but we now enjoy good conversation with them and our grandchildren after a meal. The weather here in Florida will be perfect tomorrow...low tonight of 47 and high tomorrow of 65 or so. Then comes the heat very soon until late October.

"but while were yet sinners, Christ died for us" ....Now, He is risen, indeed!

Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday Carl.

Easter is just another day and I worked today and will be working all day tomorrow again. I also hate this closing of stores and no delivery of mail for 4 days.

Well, I reckon what I have to say is too offensive for some ears on this forum concerning Easter. The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is too much for there ears to hear. That to hear the word "Repent", will cause psychological damage so much so that millions will have to be spent in therapy.

I find it odd how acceptable the Jesus in the manger is, but not the Jesus of the cross, and failing to understand that they are one and the same.

In closing I'll say this: For I an not ashamed of our Lord Jesus Christ, for within Him, is the power of salvation for all to believe. First for the Jew and then the Gentile. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

You just ruined religion for me, meanie! (just kidding)

But seriously:
This is a scrolling forum, not a religious one.
Wishing someone a Happy Easter is one thing, trying to convey a religious message is another thing completely which has no proper room in here. I am sure the internet offers anyone the opportunity to voice anything they want in a proper forum should you wish to do so.

Regards,
Marcel

I quite agree with Marcel. This forum is for discussing work with the scroll saw, not for religious proselytizing.

I hope everybody enjoys this season in whatever way is most appropriate to their particular creed, if any.

Happy Anniversary Carl..and an early happy birthday.. my apologies if starting a thread such as this was politically incorrect..but it is the tidbits of our personalities that intrigue me ..that Carl looks forward to peas in cream sauce and Ian may be shoveling snow are perfect pieces of what their day might hold..a bit of this, a bit of that..lectures and disertations on religion ...well, I doubt that this is the forum for that and I hope that the thread stops here if that is anyone's intent.. sorry if I offended anyone by asking..I do hope everyone has a safe and good day, drive safely bearfretworks..be careful shoveling snow Ian.. hope you dance today Gill happy Sunday to you all

I quite agree also and I don't think Sue intended her post to be one to spark views on religion.

My Easter has been very nice. We had out little guy do his Easter egg hunt this morning. After that, we enjoyed a nice quiet breakfast together.

Me and the pregnant lady lay together later for a nap. She decided I was getting too comfortable and inflicted some "baby room renovations" on me. LOL!

I didn't mind...I qutie enjoyed it.

Later we will have Turr (I think the official name for this sea bird is Murr, not sure) with rice gravy for supper.

Tonight we will do nothing and maybe snack on some Easter chocolate and that's just fine with me.

Seen this one before Ian and yes it is typical of Canada. I laugh every time I read it.
