Default New WebSite

I'm trying to develop a website and have completed some of the more important pages. I'm still building, of course, with a pattern archive next in work. Microsoft Office Live has a pretty decent deal for a free website, including the domain name.

Visit the Portfollio page and right-click any image. Surprize! Surprize! Surprize! Shazam!!

Mike,

Tried to visit, but your portfolio page takes forever to load, seems there's a problem with it.

And I have super high speed cable access, so it shouldn't be a problem at all
(using firefox as a browser, FYI)

Regards,
Marcel

Hmm...I just opened it and it took about 5 seconds to load. I, too, have high speed cable access. Perhaps it's an issue with Firefox. I use Internet Explorer. If you have javascript disabled, you should have seen an error message regarding that. Guess I'll have to see if others have a problem. I'll search for firefox issues to see if I find anything.

Here's a link about Firefox problems with javascript which is the only way i currently know of to protect images from copying. http://www.firefoxfacts.com/2007/03/...script-issues/
I know nothing about Firefox and will have to see if a work around is possible or not without a lot of programming.

All pages loaded fine for me. Mike, you are off to a good start. It's looking good. You have quite the staff to try and handle. I assume they're all efficient.

Yeah, and they all work for cheap. Give 'em a beer and a $2 cigar and they as happy as stink on...well, you know.

I'm using Omni for a browser and the web page loaded in less than 5 seconds. It was more or less instantaneous.

You have a good start going there Mike. It loaded fine for me as well. You have some good words posted there and if you continue such a mindset you will do well for sure.

Mike,

I went back with IE7.0 and loaded without trouble.

FYI Seems an issue with Firefox, but a lot of people use it.

Regards,
Marcel

That's a nicely designed site Mike, and nice photos of your work -once I switched to IE at least- I normally use Firefox too and as Marcel says, lots of people do - the figure I read recentlty was around 30% of users - a big chunk of your potential audience.

I'm not sure why it should be the javascript preventing right clicks that are causing a problem. Kevin Daly has a right click disabled on his patterns page and it doesn't cause any problems with Firefox ..

Oh - should the control buttons under the pic on your homepage do anything? They din't seem to on either browser for me?
