Default Inserting links to old threads?

I thought I would ask this here. I would like to know how to insert a link to an old thread in this forum so as not to repeat things over and over.
I have seen some of you wizards do it.

1.Bring up the old thread
2.Highlight the address in the address bar at the top of the browser by dragging the mouse.
3. Copy the address (quickest way is to use CTRL C)
4. Go to the post where you want the address to appear and paste the adress you just copied (CTRL V)

5. Marvel at windows technology ...

Hope this helps ..

Duh! I should have known that as I do it all the time elsewhere.
I was thinking that there was some internal simple link on the forum itself.

Thanks Ian
