Default Barn Layerscape

I was asked over on the carving message board to explain how to find levels and layers in a relief carving. So, enjoying the excuse of spending the day at the drawing board I worked up the design below. Since I already had it marked out for levels I went ahead (another excuse to keep playing) and translated the design into a scroll saw layerscape.

If you want to read the carving thread and snitch their copies of the pattern go here: Levels in Relief

I do apologize, I tried to give you as large a design as possible. These should print out to about 10" wide by 8" high. But the dpi is just fuzzy enough that I couldn't include the drill hole x's.

Here's the complete detailed pattern.

Default Layered pattern

Hi Susan: Walt here, in the Smoky Mountain Area. I like the pattern a lot, it could be a local spot. Anyhow, I think I will enlarge it and try to use it for intarsia. Thanks so much for the pattern.
Best Regards, Walt Rollison.
