 |  Why would you stop cutting maple? I think Dale was referring to the obvious seams in the wood, not the type of wood. I agree with him, however, that the seams in the wood take away from the overall effect of the cutting.

| The only thing I found to be a pain was the amount of dust build up along the kerf. I like maple!

| The way the wood comes in at the plant it is several narrow pieces glued together with a butt joint. The reasoning is for strength and not warping. These are panels used for cabinet door panels. The contrasting colors is why we can not use them in our doors. Although it did darken the wood when I put the finish on. On the bright side though the price was right ( FREE ). I haven't had a problem with the dust in the kerf though. It is 1/2" solid maple and I am using #7reverse olson PGT blades. Steve
