Default Steve Irwin pattern.

Hello folks, a few weeks ago I contacted the Austrailian Zoo and asked them if I could do a portrait of Steve Irwin to donate to his wife Teri and family. They were very happy for me to do so and advised me to go ahead and use any picture from their website and proceed.

The best picture I could find was from their tribute page which is here.

I have done a pattern of that picture but I am not sure about it...it is still not "sitting right" with me. My wife thinks it looks great. Anyway, attached is a very scaled down version of the pattern (I didn't attach the full version for copyright reasons). I should state for the record, I don't claim to own this pattern...I have been given explicit permission by the Zoo to use it for the purpose of giving the portrait as a gift to the Irwin family.

Please have a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks Guys!

Kerry,
Overall it looks like an excellent pattern. The only thing I might do is thin out the left eyebrow a bit, for some reason that really jumped out at me.

I think it's a great pattern, and too, it's really thoughtful of you to make it for his family. I'm sure it will be appreciated.

Yes Kevin. I think both the eyebrows are a bit big...I am going to change that. One of my friends told me to lose the horizon also. I think he may be right on that one too.

Crickey. Looks good. I'm sure that after you make the few changes it will be perfect.

Thank you Neal. I have always been a fan of Steve and I saw a documentary last week that confirms that he was, in fact, a really great guy and it appears his children have his qualities also.

We need more ppl like Steve in this world today.

Kerry you beat me to it I have been trying for what seems like eons to do a pattern of Steve and his wife any ways your pattern looks dead on I would not change a thing including the horizon I think it adds to the depth of the piece
