| This Home Believes (Everyday) Playing with words again and then a little with finishes. Thought I'd share this one since it is suited to the holidays, regardless what you believe in.
To those who are in the midst of celebrations, to those who are preparing for them.... here is "This Home Believes"
Sue and I are experimenting again with finishes and like the look of metal on this piece.
Comments welcome.
Take care
Toni

| Love it Toni.
The finish is cool but I think I would probably paint mine (can't help it, it's the artist in me). Something in a fade, just not sure which colors. I'm thinking that would be cool air brushed.
Can I get the pattern?

| Thanks for the compliment.
Email me with your email address and I will send it off to you.
This one is actually painted. I agree the airbrushing would be a good idea. I hope to take some classes in air brushing in the beginning of 2007 (if finances permit). It has always been something that interested me, but I simply never managed to learn it yet.
Take care

| That looks excellent. How big is it, is it mounted on something or free flowing, and then how does it hang on the wall? I think your silver looks great, is it a paint or is it silver leafing?

| Thanks Jeff - this piece is can be as large as you want to make it. I've done this one approximately 20" wide.
It is actually just painted. I love the foils and play with them from time to time (watch for my Mentora Dragon later) which has foiled areas. I am not up to working foiling over the fonts though... they rip way too easy for my liking.
For now I am playing with paints and some other mediums, and taking a break from the dyes.
Take care

| Toni. That is way cool (OK - so you now know MY generation [old]). So very non-denominational or however that should be spelled!!! And good for any time of year, too. The silver gives it a pretty classy look, but I'd probably like to try it in a wood tone, for a warmer look. And then in a rainbow-hued look, for a more fanciful look. And then.... Well, I guess you can see that I like it! Could be religous, or fun, or political (ugh!) or whatever. Nice job! Sandy |

| Hi Sandy / Barry....
Barry your pattern was emailed to you tonight - Sandy... I can't find your email so please send me an email or PM me with yours so I can send off "This Home Believes"
Thanks for the kind words on the design. Sandy - it was designed with the non-denominational approach, glad you noticed.
Take care

| Thanks Joe, I just love to make folks think when they look at scrolled work.
There are few more on the horizon, lol, I just have to be in the mood to cut words and well, somedays I simply don't feel like "talking" much.
I've sent your pattern, Kelly - Did you get yours?
Thanks for all the comments on this piece. This one has found a place in my home.
Take care
