Toni and Sue deserve a huge THUMBS up for the innovative patterns and dragon challenge. Those are just too cool. I can see Fisnarl being cut with exotics and spalted woods.......no artifical colors added...

Hi.
I have been lurking around for some time and just wonder if there is an Intarsia scroll sawer in Houston, TX I could set up a meeting with?
I am going to be in that area in June next year and I would like to get more information about this work.
Could someone give me an idea about this?

Hi Steinar
The Dragon Challenge was definitely a fun one for all that got involved...Toni and I were delighted with the creativity and different approaches which so many scrollers demonstrated. It was our hope that we could encourage scrollers to look at all the options available to them when they came across a pattern that they wanted to cut..whether it was segmented, fretwork or intarsia...and how one can sometimes play with a pattern to make it unique.
If there are any questions that you might have, please feel free to ask..we'd be glad to help.
There are lots of great scrollers in Texas..I do hope you can set up a meeting or perhaps attend a woodworking show.
Thanks for the answer.
It is a lot of questions to ask. But, I think see someone in work and know exactly what to do is the best. I will have 3-4 days in Houston before we are heading west and I thought a few hours would be enough to answer most of my questions. I have a lot of woodwork I am into here where I live and I can wait till my trip to really getting into Intarsia and how to do this for real. If you could help me with a name or addresse later one I would appreciate it very much. I have plenty of time to arrange this. So far the plans are to arrive June 5th late evening.
