Have you tried clicking on the image, then right click mouse to save target as, and put it in whatever file you want, or on the desktop?

You can see the image of the pattern but it won't open?

I'm not sure if I follow what you mean, but I do know that when I go to the older threads and try to download an image and it don't work, it is sometimes because the image has been deleted at its original location. Therefore there is no "source" to download from.
I hope this makes sense, although I'm not sure if that is the problem you are having.
Sorry.

Erssel,
Can you give me a link to one of the threads you're having a problem with? I'll take a look and see if I can find out what's wrong.
