Default my first dog design

I have been making some of the dogs in Judy Gale Roberts fineline book, but there wasn't one that looked like my mom's dog. I tried to adapt a pattern to look more like her, but gave up and started from scratch. If I were to do it again, I would move the dog up and not have so much open area at the top part of the circle. It is fragile.

Great job on the pattern and cutting. I agree, there should be some connection between the dog and the top for stability, but still a great job.

I think it looks great! Terrific job. While it may have caused some breath holding I think the opening at the top give the piece a nice balance.

Looks nice - I'm impressed. If it needs something - mount it on a backer - wouldn't that help. I like the space at the top.

nice job on that, And Id agree, move the doggie head up just enough that his hair touches the circle.

Thanks for all the feedback. My mom is a stained glass artist, and she is thinking of backing it with glass.

Great Job on the pooch,I also have designed ones in keeping with Judy Gale Roberts style..easy fix to attach a couple parts of the hair and slightly thicken the outer ring for stability.Email me if you'd care to see some of what I've done..similar to yours Andy Maurvz800@aol.com

Backing it with glass would really set it off. Nice job!
