Default 2/11 Custom Hall Tree

Hi Y'all, My Sister-in-law asked me to get creative and make a one of a kind hall tree for her son. He also has children so she wanted hooks at half height to teach the kids to hang their coats up also. Here is what I came up with. It is made of solid cherry and maple and stands about six feet tall. I started off by mitering a lot of short pieces of wood and then by gluing and clamping over and over and over ect.. . I finally milled out two separate posts that I laminated together. After a lot of wood glue and screws in the post itself I decided to do a little personalization with the scrolled braces on the bottom by adding the "W" to represent his last name. Comments Welcomed . Steve
