Default do not wound the truth

I've never tried any word art, but I came across a quotation this morning by a man named James Meikel, 1730-1799, and something in me just wouldn't let it go. Soooooo, I used one of KtownScrollers plaque templates that was offered to the group and I simply applied the quotation to the plaque using one of Sylvia's scripts. The only thing I have available for this type of project is 3/4 inch white pine, but I think it will work just fine.
Here is the pattern for any who may want to use it, and thanks for looking.

Bubba

I sure did Kevin, but being a minister is a never-ending job and even though I love Christmas I see more sadness and death at this time than I do at any other time of the year.
Thanks for checking my pattern and commenting on the quote. I love the results of word art, and I greatly admire those who can scroll out something like "The Lord's Prayer." I've just never had the patience for it, yet I can sit and cut out portraits for hours. Go figure!

That is why there is so many patterns Its funny (not ha ha kind) that you mention the sadness and death is more at Christmas. I think it is always there, however our hearts see and hear it more, like we are more open I guess to it. Being a minister it might be different for you, but when I worked hospice/alzheimers elder care, I saw it everyday. But with death and sadness comes joy. Unfortunetly we can't have one without the other. Okay, off my box, I love the qoute. That is where great word art come from, when something grabs hold of you, then you know it is yours to make and share.

Thanks Nikki, and you're absolutely right. The only thing I would add is that it isn't just word art, but the end result of inspiration is that which comes from anything that "grabs hold of you."

Default Cross

Bubba,

I just finished cutting one of your crosses and thought I'd send you a picture of the finished product.

Once I get the finish on it I think it will look great.

Thanks for sharing.

Rick
