This is something I thought might be useful to accessorize an existing cross or to go with one of your new projects. Once cut out it can hung over a cross (just loop it over the top of the cross) mounted on a base, or it can be glued to the face of a cross as a second layer. Using 1/4" wood, cut the smallest inside cut-outs first (the black). Then cut the large inside cut. Do not remove the wood from the inside cut. Leave it in place and use scotch tape to hold it in place. This will add strength when you make your outside cut. Now you can make your outside cut. Take your time and try to cut the "thorns" as best as you can. I know it's tedious work, but you will be very pleased with your effort when it is finished. Very carefully sand any "fuzzies" and finish as desired. I suppose this could be cut larger and used as a wall decoration, too. Hope this works for you. Bubba I just had an afterthought... You could also print this to fit on an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper, cut it as large as you can as a portrait. This way you could add something to the interior (words, a cross silouette (sp) or whatever) since the center wouldn't be cut out in a portrait, and mount it in a frame.
