| Help printing a pattern Can someone please tell me how to print the pattern of Charles Dearing's horse the same size as it is on my screen? I can only print a 6" X 6" pattern and it shows up about 8 1/2" high by 12" long on my screen. I have a new Dell computer with Vista. HP C6280 printer, scanner, copier. Thanks.

| What I do is go to the printer and bring up properties. In that I can go to page size and then I just type in what I want wether it is 50% or 200%. and then print. Hope it helps. |

| greatdane2, I go to the printer and there is no "properties" only "preferences" which offers no way to change the size. &%#~%* Vista, lots of things I can't do anymore with Vista.

| Mick, it will depend on the application you are using to print and the printer you are printing to (either may allow scaling).
Using Vista's Paint application, there is a scaling field in the Page Setup dialog.
The preferences dialog you found will depend on the printer. On my HP printer, it has an "Effects" tab which allows resizing the image.

| G'day Mick,
I open the pics I wish to print with a publishing programme. Usually it's MS Publisher, but Word will work along with a number of other programmes. Then set the page size, and enlarge the pattern to fit and print.

| And when all else fails I go down to Staples and have them do it for a few cents a page.

| Can you not print a copy & then enlarge it manually to the size you want on the printer? |

| Maybe if you sweet-talk Charlie he can email you it in a file the correct size for you.Its worth a try. Even though hes seen with a black hat, I've got the idea a white hat would fit Mr.Dearing just fine too!

| Charlie sent me an e-mail with an attachment of the pattern and I could choose any size I wanted from 10% all the way up to 6400%.
Thanks a million Charles.
