Default New Guy looking for some easy patterns(moon and stars)

Hi there, I am new to this and I am trying to get a few easy patterns.

I am looking for a moon and some stars. Easy stuff, you know. Any help would be appreciated. I can draw them, but I just wanted a few new ideas.

Thanks

Keep looking, you are in the right section. Saw one on page 2, another page 6 and there's one on page 10. Could be more deeper in the files or more in between the pages that I simply missed. Sometimes the title doesn't say sun or moon even though that is what it is, such as this one which is familiar <wink>

gofaster:

I am sure the attachment is not what you were asking for:

The attachment, I did this real quick one day back in 2005 with Corel Draw. It is just for practice, sort of a calisthenics warm-up and skill building. Use with scrap wood, modify as you see fit.

Just follow the lines. Take a pen, and make some corners real sharp, and others more rounded.

if you cut that pattern on an angle Phil you have the makings of a great song.

Catch a falling star and put it in a basket, save it for a rainy day.....OK IT was corny and I took artistic license but it is a cool pattern none the less. Good work.

Carl:

If you want to try one of my a calisthenics skill builders for a basket... try this. I did this also back in 2005

Just so you know, the resulting basket will be ugly. I tried it, and the design ends up unattractive. Anyone is free to try to make it look good. In pottery, glass, or stoneware, the shape will be OK, but stepped wood scroll saw???

It is only for practice and skill building.

Aside: in Corel Draw Suite, this is a basic shape, took me all of 3 minutes to create this. Each object is 10% smaller than the next size. I just updated the file for PDF export from Corel Draw X3.

gofaster,
I'm not sure if you wanted practice or specifically a moon and stars. If the later, try looking for coloring book images. They present as "easy stuff" and you need only to modify them to make sure any centers don't drop out on you.
