Another Holiday has rolled around so Mike and I wanted to let you know there is a new free pattern package posted to our site, www.CarvingPatterns.com For this season we chose Art Deco as the style and the package contains eight large sized frame designs. The link to our Gift Page is in the mid-section of the first large white table on the home page. There are several clock faces that should work very well for scrolling and I already have the berry clock pattern penciled out for a desk clock cut. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend! I should probably go to the carving section and ask this question, but I was wondering how you would afix a pattern to a piece of wood then be able to carve it and not lose the pattern?

Most people just use transfer paper. The trick is to pick out which details to transfer at any given time; it's just a waste of time to draw on details that will just get carved off. Here's a good link to Susan's Oakman Tutorial... Oak Man Relief WIP - Wood Carving Illustrated Message Board Bob
