Default wolf and celtic moon

I'm planning to do 380x380mm work with wolf and celtic moon. Here's a picture of the idea:

It's based on a piece of jewellery. I think i need to use dremel to get the shapes of the celtic moon. I'll propably try to do the wolf with watercolors or perhaps use some other image.

Any thoughts on the idea?

You have chosen an interesting composition. I really enjoy watching as others come up with these ideas. You seem to have a good idea what you want this to look like when you are done.

I am curious why you choose the Celtic Moon and Wolf combination? Was it simply looks, two things you like or do you know of a reason to combine the two?

Take care
Toni

I don't have any special reason to use celtic moon except for looks but combining wolf and moon is quite obvious.

howling at the moon is understandable..however, the last wolf in Ireland happened around 1780 and it was to this that I do believe Toni was referring ... so I"M unclear as to how it is obvious why you chose the combination of a wolf and a celtic moon
I look foraward to seeing what you do with it

Ahhh tis a fun morning..the celts did celebrate the "wolf moon" back in the days of long long ago ..(this comes from my friend Puzzle Moose) ..I love learning stuff like this..
I drew a lion once and wanted to include feathers..perhaps a bit trite, but I drew it, made it and it's up on our site..soon after completing the project I realized that the lion really wasn't 'native' and the feather made little, if any, sense other then it was fun for me..we now laugh at that process and try to be a bit more aware of the elements we chose to put into our designs.. and then again, sometimes it comes to what we like
Thanks for sharing the passage from the book Ian..here's to the Imbolic Sabbat
