Newbie here. Is it normal for me to have to log back in every time I switch to a new category and want to reply, or go to my profile to make changes ? This seems to have started last nite and has continued numerous times this evening. It could be my computer settings or I simply just don't know what I am doing yet Thanx

No it's not normal, but if you contact Bob Duncan he can direct you to Rob, who is their computer wizard and can fix you up. He has helped me many, many times!! GOOD LUCK!! Betty

Hi Sawduster, It probably has to do with your security settings. The board uses a "Cookie" to keep you logged in. If you changed your security settings, your computer won't let the board put a cookie on your computer. I keep my security settings at medium or medium high and it works perfectly for me. If you still have problems, please let me know! Bob Duncan Technical Editor Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts

Last night. I made some changes including the new name. The changes may have corrupted your cookie. Try deleting your cookies. This should reslove the problem. If not let me know.

I am still having the problem and I am 99% sure it is the cookie issue. I do not, as a general rule, accept cookies. I know I can customize my cookie acceptance but my question is this: Will allowing cookies on the main SSW website correct the problem, or must I allow the cookies on the board as well ? If so, what is the address to use when I add it to the list ? Before or after I log in or does it matter ? Thanx for the help, it is frustrating having to log in multiple times in one session

You won't find them on the User CP. Cookies are controlled through the security settings on your internet browser. If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer, got to Tools-Internet Options and click the tab marked Privacy. Your Privacy Setting is probably set too high and needs to be reduced. Mine is at 'Medium' and everything works fine. If you're using a different browser such as Firefox or Opera, it's a slightly more complicated procedure which I'll discuss if you want me to. Nevertheless, I find the versatility of these browsers makes them far superior it MSIE (IMHO ).Gill
