You guys have by now seen some my Aussie designed and made wooden model-toys,- Correct ? Question;- Do you ever run a design competition, or similar to encourage your members to have a go at designing something new or different ? On my easysell site there's a spectacular, working, realistic Mobile Crane, which I do have the highly-detailed, 76 part Toy Plan available for,- Am thinking, IF you agree to my suggestion,- of using this Toy Plan as part of a Prize to whoever comes up with the best design on this site of a Classic Aussie Outback Roadtrain, coupled up to a Conventional, fully decked out Rig, ( or Tractor unit ). The Mobile Crane Toy Plan is drawn actual size. Done in a 23 page, x A3 size booklet format. Simply remove the staples and join the plan together as marked. numerous detailed sub-assemblies, exploded view diagrams, paper templates, 76 part material list, and detailed instructions. Although dimensionals are in metric, anyone with a combination metric / imperial ruler should be able to make a reasonable model without coming unstuck. The plan value is Aust.$30. but will make the Prize value up to US$100. of my Aussie Toy Plans,- Providing you agree to my suggestion. Over to you guys with your thoughts, suggestions, & ideas

| BobD,- Thank you for the info. re your Annual Scroll Saw Design Contest. Yes I checked out all the site pictures, which feature heaps of creative Scroll Work, along with some Intarsia projects, and several very nice Scroll Sawn Vintage Style Vehicle Models, but that was all I could find. But then, since you specialize more into Scroll Saw Projects, perhaps I am on the wrong type of woodworking site, and should be on one with shows more interest in the original design of Wooden Toys, & / or Wooden Model-Toys, with the emphasis on originality by the individual designer / maker, and not something which someone has downloaded from some site on the net, then built, and wrongly claiming that it is their own design. ( Any specialized Wooden Toy making Forum Site reccomendations ? ) I think you know what I mean, and what I am getting at, as I receive," original designs," almost week from various sources,- yet when I check each, and every one out, I almost always find an identical copy on some internet woodwork plans site, then when I contact the person who sent me the description, & a photo of the plan, they usually admit they got the plan from, " XYZ" site, to which I reply,- It is NOT original, and not of your own design, therefore you cannot sell that plan to me. " Most accept what I explain to them, while some call me," Almost every name imaginable under the sun, plus some !!!!! " That's life,
