Unhappy Giving Up

I have been successful in registering, received some replies welcoming me to the boards, tried replying to these without any luck. Would love to be a member and discuss scrolling topics but cant think of anything else I can do. This is the most confusing site i have ever visited (Beats me) Just cant get any sense from the links.

Don't get frustrated, Harry. As online Forums go, this one is actually very organized and straightforward. However, to somebody new to message boards in general, they can be very confusing.

Stick with it! There are plenty of new members joining all the time, and you're not in the boat alone. The more you visit, the easier it will become. Being a member of an online communiy like this can be very rewarding and worth your efforts to "learn the ropes."

I don't think there is a member here who would not be willing to help out.

Post Don't give up

Harry-

Don't give up. We need the experience you have to contribute. We would also like to see some of your cuttings. What saw do you use and what blades do you prefer?

Looks like Bob has found a lot of responds to you thread. If you need help just let Bob know and he will help, as we all will.

Any way welcome to the best Scroll saw message board on the web.

-Bill

Harry,
Looks like you have figured out how to start a new thread.

If you are having more problems..Give a shout or you can click on anyone's name and send them a private message..
here is a little tip Harry...

When you first log in..look at the top of the message board for "New Posts". Thiswill display the posts that have been active since the last time you were here.

When you are done for the day .
Click on "Quick Links"
Then Click on "mark forums read"

That way every time you log on you will have just the latest topics and those that don't interest you go by the way side...

Hope this helps...

Hang in there Harry! This was my first time in online forums, and as confusing as it seems to you now, it does get easier, kind of like scrolling.... We are all glad to help you any way we can.

It is true that I have been successful in replying to several posts but what is baffling is that when i answer some of the questions that the recipients have asked me I do not see any replies.

Kind regards.

Harry.

Hi! Bill

Thankyou for your words of encouragement.

Idont know if this message will reach you as I have tried several times to make contact with several members like yourself without success it seems.

In answer to your question on which scroll saw I use, I use a Hegner multicut 2
variable speed with an 18" throat. I also have the multicut 1 from which I upgraded. I usually use Hegner blades never used spiral blades but I have some which I have'nt got around to using yet. Love to show some of my cuttings but that will have be when I have learned how to upload pictures, can youplease advise.

I see you are a senior member, how many years have you been scrolling?

Like to hear from you again.

Kind regards

Harry. U.K.
