Hi Gang,
One of the new additions to the site with the upgrade are "Tags." When you start a new thread, right below the box you type your message in, there is a place to enter "Tags."

But what are Tags? They are one word descriptions about what the post is about. You can choose to search for a post by the tag instead of a key word. If you were giving away a pattern of a lion, for example, the tags could be:
Lion, pattern

Eventually, I'd like to include tags for all of the old posts to make it easier to search for old posts, but I'd really like to do what we can to add tags to new posts.

No problem, Bob. I've been kind of curious what this tag stuff is all about. Do tags help bigger search engines like Google find a hit as well?

Bob, when I post, I sometimes forget the tag until after I posted. Is there a way for me to click 'edit post' so I can add the tags? I get to excited to hit 'submit post' and overlook the tag thing.

I'm not sure Dale. As an admin, I've got a little button in the tags area that says "Edit Tags." Do regular members have that?

I see one over on the right that says edit tags....

it says when opened...

Quote:
Uncheck a tag to remove it from this thread. Tags in bold were added by you.
however this function is not allowed to anyone other than original poster.

Then it says:
Quote:
You may add 2 tag(s) to this thread. Tags will be visible to all users.
This function is available to me.
